Experiences of CC differ.
One poet defined it as
Nothingness, where neither land nor sea
Neither the moon nor the stars resplendent
Neither planets nor constellations exist
Sunk as they are in the Ocean of Bliss Absolute !
Another defined it as a state of omnipresence !
Aware of his occult omnipotent source
Allured by the omniscient Ecstacy
He felt the invasion and the Nameless joy
wrote Aurobindo
A force came down into his mortal limbs
A current from the eternal seas of Bliss
He felt the invasion and the Nameless joy.
It is this invasion of Bliss which characterises Cosmic Consciousness. The Nameless joy is our true nature and the symbol of the Cross, the symbol of the World-Pain, is only ephemeral, hanging as it is on the background of Eternity !
