This is an argument which has been going on for ages - Which is greater Jnana Yoga ( Philosophy ) or Bhakti Yoga ( Bridal Mysticism ) ?
Both are not contradictories! On the other hand, they are complemenataries. The Absolute Self of Philosophy is the Lord of Religion. It is simply that the Divine has many aspects, as Love, as Wisdom, as Time etc.
All savants have pointed out that all the Four Paths are great and they should be integrated into an Integral Yoga. The man of Wisdom should serve ( Karma Yoga ), love ( Bhakti Yoga ) and control his senses ( Raja Yoga ). Then only will be become eligible for Self Actualisation !
